Southern soul-pop singer Parson James returns today with an emotionally charged breakup ballad titled "Only You", which is out now via RCA Records. Watch the lyric video HERE. "Only You" tells the tale of the ups and downs of heartbreak and healing, the young South Carolina born artist explains. "I wrote this song almost immediately after a breakup with my partner of nearly 3 years. I left NYC and went straight to LA thinking that an escape was the best way to get over something as painful as what I was dealing with. LA is a lonely place. Quite isolating. The second I started feeling that, I thought I'd made a bad decision. I thought there is no one out there that will love me because I'm not worthy of being loved. So even though he cheated, or I cheated in retaliation and the situation became volatile, I should suck it up and just deal with it because it's only you that will love me. A few months passed and I regained my confidence and dissected the relationship and realized, I don't think I was singing to him. I was singing to the part of myself that I lost while in that relationship. So this song to me now, is about finding your way back to the part of you that you lost. Finding a way to love yourself as much as you want to be loved."

"Only You" is the first taste of what's to come from Parson in 2018, since the release of his sizzling summer banger, "If You're Hearing This," which was produced by Anthony Maniscalco (Hook N Sling) and Steven Solomon, and in collaboration with Betty Who. Watch the visual HERE.

Later this month, artist and activist Parson James will also be presenting SugarCube, a uniquely immersive events program to be launched on November 29 at PUBLIC ARTS, the basement club of Ian Schrager's new downtown hotel, PUBLIC. SugarCube will be a uniquely immersive night of fun featuring a sneak peak of his soon-to-be-released album. Parson will bring with him a slew of talented friends for a night of pop-fueled gaiety and night-long naughtiness. The series, which will officially launch in 2018, will be a constantly evolving array of performers and experiences that reflect the diversity of NYC.

With more and more queer performance spaces and parties moving to Brooklyn, Parson felt compelled to host a night in the city that would celebrate the LGBTQ community. Parson's vision was to recreate some of that Studio 54 magic and tells New Yorkers to prepare for pop overload." The party will be taking place at PUBLIC, founded by Studio 54's Ian Schrager, the perfect venue for the series. "In the current climate... the temperature for my LGBTQ family is frosty... and I'm not talking about the weather. "I want to provide a safe, fun and frivolous environment to give a little sweetness back to our community". Visitsugarcubeparty.com to rsvp.

Earlier this year, Parson appeared in DJ/producer Kygo's new documentary with Apple Music, "Stole The Show," which was named after Parson's song of the same name, co-written by and featuring the artist. Watch the trailer HERE.

Touted as an Artist to Watch by Spotify, based on their listeners' streaming habits and the official Viral Charts he made his late night television debut on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers, performing the EP's title track, "Temple" alongside the LGBT Lavender Light Choir. Last fall, James made his morning show debut, appearing on NBC's Today Show, performing a stirring rendition of his infectious single, "Sad Song" for hosts Kathie Lee and Hoda, as Elvis Duran's Artist of the Month.
