Vancouver-based indie rockers Mother Mother are set to headline the upcoming "Hoodies for the Homeless" music initiative, taking place July 21 in Brooklyn, NY. The event will feature special performances by Pushmethod, viral artist NoMBe, recording artist and voice of the 2014 FIFA World Cup song, and David Correy. Sponsors include Havas Media, Effective Immediately PR, #Hashtag Lunchbag, Firstborn, The Hoodie Shop, Electric Styles and more. Hoodies for the Homeless is the creation of PushMethod frontman Tavis Sage Eaton, and was born out of a lifelong desire to make a measurable difference in the lives of those he'd witnessed struggling to survive on the streets of the city.

The movement's mission is "to help provide warm clothing for the less fortunate and displaced and to deliver hoodies to shelters across the city". Hoodie donations are encouraged with admission, and there will be a drop off station in the venue.

Mother Mother's most recent release Very Good Bad Thing via Def Jam Recordings has received praise from CMJ, American Songwriter and Noisey who write, "On Very Good Bad Thing, we see the band harnessing the best of their quick-witted humor, affinity for extravagant storytelling, and those peculiar but signature three-piece, powerhouse harmonies to expose both a charming level of confidence and a genuine artistry."
