Capital Stage continues its 10th Anniversary Season with a special one-night-only music concert with local and internationally acclaimed duo Misner & Smith on Sunday March 29 at 7pm. For this very special concert at Capital Stage, Misner & Smith will be joined by Josh Yenne (The Easy Leaves, Mazzy Star) on pedal steel and electric guitar. Known for their stunning live performances, Misner & Smith have been winning over fans with critically-acclaimed songwriting, musicianship, and extraordinary vocal harmonies for over 10 years. Their music moves effortlessly through the worlds of folk, rock, Americana, and places in between, creating something new and familiar at the same time. "The songs are poetic and piercing...", raves Folkwords (UK), and the Detroit Metro Times called the duo "honest and authentic". Pop Matters declared "Simon & Garfunkel comparisons are in order." They tour the U.S. and UK extensively. The pair first met while working as actors, and have performed in several productions at Capital Stage, including the current production of RAPTURE, BLISTER, BURN. Josh Yenne is a musician and teacher from Sonoma County California. His main instruments are pedal steel guitar and guitar. He also plays Dobro, lap steel, and has been caught playing drums, mandolin, bass and anything else he can get his hands on! A lover of many kinds of music Josh has appeared on stage playing Country, Rock, Blues, Jazz, Funk, Bluegrass, Old-Time, Jug Band, and Reggae, to name a few. Josh is also a songwriter with over 60 songs in his personal catalogue. He has played/recorded with/shared the stage with Mazzy Star, The Easy Leaves, The Mother Hips, Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers, Boz Scaggs, The David Luning Band, Plum Crazy, Flakyotomy, Hope Sonam, Frobeck, The Highway Poets, Burnt Noodle, Twang Ditty, and many more.
