All proceeds from tickets sales will benefit ExtraFood.org and their mission to help end hunger and reduce waste in Marin County.

"The holidays would not be the same without Michelle's benefit concert," says ExtraFood.org Board Member Heidi Krahling. "Through her support of ExtraFood.org, we have been able to continue helping tens of thousands of people over the years. We would not have been able to do it without her."

Schmitt adds, "This has been an incredible year and I want to show my gratitude by doing something that will make a difference in our community. At the end of the day, this is what the holidays are about for me. I can't think of a better way to kick off this holiday season than with a concert where 100% of the proceeds go to help end hunger and waste in Marin County."

Michelle Schmitt is a Bay Area singer-songwriter who has been making music since the age of 12. Schmitt, who has lived in the Bay Area since the late-seventies, grew up in Detroit and was exposed to great music, which she credits as her inspiration.

On her third holiday album, "Another Christmas Story" - which was released on Thursday, October 1st - Schmitt honors her Detroit roots by combining rock and soul with classic holiday favorites, as well as her own original holiday songs.

Schmitt continues to spread the message of faith, love and hope. Her strong vocals and characteristic rock and soul sound are accompanied by drumming sensation, Ricky Fataar, gifted guitarist George Marinelli, Graham Patzner on keyboards, Marc Levine on bass, Anton Patzner on violin, Lewis Patzner on cello and guitarist Michael Spriggs.

Benefit attendees will enjoy "Another Christmas Story" as well as songs from her previous holiday records that have raised much-needed funds to feed the hungry. Michelle's 11 CDs, including "Another Christmas Story," will be available for purchase at the concert, with 100% of the evening's proceeds going to ExtraFood.org.
