Launching its search for the best musicians in the Valley, Life is Beautiful presents a series of free local concerts designed to showcase homegrown talent for the opportunity of a lifetime. Local and regional bands, DJs and solo musicians will be on display starting Wednesday, February 6 in varying Downtown Las Vegas venues, playing for a spot on stage during the highly anticipated festival this Fall.

"A large part of the Life is Beautiful festival will be centered on music, and Marquee bands of course," said Craig Nyman, Head of Music for festival curators Aurelian Marketing Group, "but the opportunity to find and showcase local talent is of great importance to us. At The End of the day, our festival is taking place in the heart of Las Vegas and it is our goal to inspire the entire community by staging top-notch entertainment, no matter where it's from."

At the first of these monthly showcases will be six local bands spanning genres from classic rock to pop and folk on Wednesday, February 6 starting at 8 p.m. at Artifice at 1025 First Street. Featured artists include:

Public is welcome and admission to this and future showcases is free. Subsequent showcases will be announced as they are planned. Musicians interested in applying to perform at an upcoming Life is Beautiful showcase can complete a form at www.lifeisbeautifulfestival.com. If selected for the festival, all bands will be notified by event organizers at least 30 days in advance.

Life is Beautiful is a new two-day music, food and arts festival that plans to attract thousands of locals and tourists to Downtown Las Vegas in the fall of 2013.
