Kids' Music Superstar LAURIE BERKNER Comes to Boston Today

Best-selling children's recording artist and preschool television favorite Laurie Berkner will bring her Rock Till You Drop Tour to Boston today, November 8 at 11:00 a.m. at the Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre, 265 Tremont St.

Performing with Laurie Berkner in Boston will be her longtime keyboardist Susie Lampert.

Dubbed 'one of the hippest children's artists' by FamilyFun Magazine,Laurie Berkner's original songs, albums, DVDs, music videos, and books leave no doubt: Laurie is the uncrowned queen of children's music and the power behind the progressive 'kindie rock' movement.

Laurie Berkner's Boston concert with will showcase many songs from her new album, The Ultimate Laurie Berkner Band Collection, plus an array of other fan favorites. With such popular hits as 'Bumblebee (Buzz Buzz),' 'Victor Vito,' 'We Are The Dinosaurs,' and 'Rocketship Run,' this all-ages show is sure to be one of the top family events of the year.

Laurie Berkner was the first artist to ever appear in music videos on Nick Jr. and was featured in nearly all of the episodes of the channel's Jack's Big Music Show. She currently stars in the animated musical short-form seriesSing It, Laurie! on the Sprout preschool channel (owned by NBC) and makes regular appearances on Sprout's Sunny Side Up Show.

Children's music superstar and preschool television favorite Laurie Berkner is having a busy fall, with both solo and Laurie Berkner Band holidays shows scheduled for November and December, preceded by the October release of her ninth album, a compilation of greatest hits titled The Ultimate Laurie Berkner Band Collection (Two Tomatoes Records, distributed by Razor & Tie).

Says Laurie, 'One of my fondest memories of the winter holidays is singing together with my family every Christmas Eve. It's one of my favorite ways to celebrate this time of year, and I feel really lucky to sing some of those same songs now at my holiday concerts with families who enjoy my music!'
