John Fogerty returns to the Hollywood Bowl for John Fogerty: His Songs from 1969 and More on Wednesday, July 15, at 8:00 PM In celebration of releasing three seminal albums with Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1969 and with this being his own 69th year, Fogerty will perform songs from that momentous time plus fan favorites and classic hits from his vast catalog.

Los Angeles-based psychedelic rock band Hearty Har will open the show. Fogerty's own sons, Tyler and Shane Fogerty, lead the group, and Shane does double-duty as a member of his father's touring band.

John Fogerty's musical career began in his hometown of El Cerrito, California with the globally recognized Creedence Clearwater Revival. As leader of the band, Fogerty forged a distinctive sound, equal parts blues, country, pop, rockabilly, R&B, swamp boogie, and Southern fried rock 'n' roll. Fogerty wrote and produced three multi-platinum albums with the band in 1969 (Bayou Country, Green River, and Willy and the Poor Boys). With classics such as "Proud Mary," "Born on the Bayou," "Bad Moon Rising," and "Fortunate Son," the albums were massively popular with both American and international audiences.

After Creedence Clearwater Revival disbanded in 1972, Fogerty embarked on an impressive solo career, which continues to this day. His recent releases include the 2009 feature-length Royal Albert Hall concert documentary and biographical DVD Comin' Down the Road and the 2013 solo album Wrote a Song for Everyone. Fogerty is also set to release an autobiography this coming fall.
