Jo Dee Messina Postpones Canadian Tour Dates

Multi-platinum, award-winning country singer/songwriter JO DEE MESSINA has announced that she has rescheduled her Canadian tour dates. The shows, originally set to take place at the end of May, have now been postponed to October. Tickets previously purchased will be honored at the rescheduled date. For those unable to attend the new date, please contact venue for refund. JO DEE's full tour itinerary is listed below.

As her Facebook and Twitter followers have read in recent posts, JO DEE's mother has been hospitalized following heart complications. Because of the ongoing recovery, JO DEE is unable to leave the country for an extended period of time.

"I wanted to write you myself and let you know, sadly we had to move those show to October," JO DEE expressed in a personal letter to her Canadian fans. "My mother hasn't been well. It's been a day-by-day thing. One day she's better, one day she takes two steps back. I had to be the one to make the call on whether or not we were going to keep those shows in place or move them. I didn't feel comfortable being so far away, not having the ability to get home fast, in case things made a turn for the worse.

"On a more positive note," she adds, "when I come up to see you in October we will be bringing the new album with us. So when you hear the new songs in the show, you will be able to take them home."

JO DEE is working on a new album to be released later this year and physical copies will be available for purchase at her shows.
