Introducing Collaborative LP 'Better On A Sunday' from STS x Khari Mateen

Today, September 15, STS and Khari Mateen announce their newest project, a ten-track album-Better On A Sunday-to be released Friday, November 10 via STS's own DonCarlos Presents. On September 29, the lead single and title track 'Better on a Sunday' will be released in tandem with the official music video--a portrayal of blue collar Angelenos, working hard to achieve the American dream.
"Khari hit me one day, saying he had a new track. When I listened, it felt better than White Christmas at my Mama's house. I loved the hook and production and started writing immediately." -STS ATL. Philly. The Roots. RJD2. The two musicians share several connections throughout the history of their careers. Raised in Atlanta, they followed different paths to ultimately wind up in Philly, collaborating with The Roots and their extended crew. In 2015, STS and RJD2 released a full-length album titled STS x RJD2. Khari toured the US as part of their live band, playing bass and cello. During this time, STS and Khari began working on the tracks that would become Better On A Sunday. The record draws upon their parallel childhoods in Atlanta and musical coming of age in Philly. It's about the American spirit of hard work and enjoying time spent with family and friends. Whether you're a mechanic, a doctor, a teacher or a rapper, these are the struggles and simple joys that we all share.
