Country music star Hunter Hayes will make a stop at Stamford's Palace Theatre on Friday, May 9th on his 24-Hour Road Race to End Child Hunger - a dual effort to raise money for ConAgra Foods' Child Hunger Ends Here program and to break the Guinness World Records record for Most Concerts Played in multiple cities in 24 hours. In an effort to collect food for the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, The Palace -- in conjunction with AEG Live -- will be running a special promotion from Monday, May 5th at 10 a.m. until Thursday, May 8th at 6 p.m. Fans who want to see Hunter Hayes on Friday, May 9th can bring 5 cans of food to The Palace Box Office and, in return, receive one ticket to the show.

"The Palace has always been supportive of our fellow community organizations, including the American Red Cross and the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County," said the theatre's Producing Artistic Director, BT McNicholl. "With Hunter Hayes spotlighting child hunger, it is the perfect opportunity to partner with the food bank. People can feel good about helping others in their own community and see a fantastic show on the 9th!"

THE DEAL: Fans who bring 5 cans of food to The Palace Box Office at 61 Atlantic Street beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 5th through Thursday, May 8th will receive one ticket to Hayes' performance on Friday, May 9th. The promotion will last only as long as supplies last. The Palace will also be collecting non-perishable foods the evening of the concert.

The Palace Theatre has been a vital force in developing the arts, cultural entertainment and education and a community pulse for The City of Stamford since it was built in 1927.

The vision of the Palace Theatre is to be the regional arts center for exciting entertainment that enhances and enriches the cultural, educational, economic, and social life of the community. The Palace strives to achieve this vision by demonstrating integrity in all work and relationships, providing service and quality in all activities, fostering and promoting diversity of thought, ideas and culture, providing stewardship for the Stamford Arts community, emphasizing outreach in our community, and offering creativity in all endeavors. Major funding is provided by the Department of Economic & Community Development and the Office of the Arts.
