GRAMMY Awards Premiere Ceremony to Be Streamed Live at GRAMMY.com

The GRAMMY Awards Premiere Ceremony will take place at Microsoft Theater on Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. PT and will be streamed live internationally at GRAMMY.com/live and CBS.com. Attended by nominees and industry VIPs, the star-studded ceremony will be hosted by comedian and current GRAMMY nominee Jay Mohr.

Preceding the 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast, the Premiere Ceremony will feature performances by current nominees Joey Alexander, the Fairfield Four and Tasha Cobbs, Highly Suspect, the Mavericks, and Takács Quartet. Presenting the first GRAMMY Awards of the day in approximately 70 categories will be current nominees Jidenna, Lianne La Havas, Keali'i Reichel, Maria Schneider, and Anoushka Shankar as well as five-time GRAMMY-winning producer Jimmy Jam.

The live stream of the Premiere Ceremony will remain on GRAMMY.com as video on demand for 90 days following the event. The 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live following the event on the CBS Television Network from 8-11:30 p.m. ET/5-8:30 p.m. PT. Mohr is nominated for Best Comedy Album for Happy. And A Lot. This is his first GRAMMY nomination.

Tasha Cobbs, the Fairfield Four, the Mavericks, and Takács Quartet each have one nod: Cobbs for Best Gospel Album for One Place Live; the Fairfield Four for Best Roots Gospel Album for Still Rockin' My Soul; the Mavericks for Best Americana Album for Mono; and Takács Quartet for Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance for "Shostakovich: Piano Quintet & String Quartet No. 2" with Marc André Hamelin.

Alexander and Highly Suspect have two nominations each: Alexander for Best Improvised Jazz Solo for "Giant Steps" and Best Jazz Instrumental Album for My Favorite Things; Highly Suspect for Best Rock Song for "Lydia" and Best Rock Album for Mister Asylum.

Schneider also has two nominations: Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album for the Maria Schneider Orchestra's The Thompson Fields and Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals for "Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime)."

Jidenna, La Havas, Reichel and Shankar each have one nomination: Jidenna for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Classic Man" with Roman GianArthur; La Havas for Best Urban Contemporary Album for Blood; Reichel for Best Regional Roots Album for Kawaiokalena; and Shankar for Best World Music Album for Home.
