GLOBAL CITIZEN EP 1 is Out Now

Today, international advocacy organization Global Citizen, through Parlophone/Atlantic Records, released Global Citizen EP 1.

South African superstar Cassper Nyovest has teamed up with Stormzy, Jess Kent, and Los Unidades for brand new track 'Timbuktu.' Listen to the new song on YouTube here.

Beyoncé and Rihanna producers Stargate have partnered with David Guetta, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Danny Ocean and Los Unidades for 'Voodoo'. Listen to the new song on YouTube here.

Stargate have also adapted the words of Nelson Mandela for the inspirational 'Rise Up.' Click here to watch the lyric video on YouTube.

Earlier this week, Global Citizen announced the EP's release with 'E-Lo', featuring Los Unidades, Pharrell Williams, and Jozzy. Click here to watch the lyric video on YouTube.

Proceeds of the EP will support Global Citizen's campaigns and advocacy efforts to end extreme poverty as well as its work in areas such as gender equality, education, and water and sanitation. The project has been spearheaded by Coldplay's Chris Martin, the curator of Global Citizen's annual live advocacy and music festivals.

This Sunday, Jay Z and Beyoncé will headline 'Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100' in Johannesburg. The event is presented and hosted by The Motsepe Foundation, honoring the legacy of Nelson Mandela in his centenary year. 'Mandela 100' has also been curated by Chris Martin, supported in his efforts by Coldplay manager and Global Citizen Executive Producer, Dave Holmes. Cassper Nyovest, D'banj, Ed Sheeran, Eddie Vedder, Femi Kuti, Kacey Musgraves, Pharrell Williams, Sho Madjozi, Tiwa Savage, Usher, Wizkid and Chris Martinwill also take to the Johannesburg stage.

DStv, SABC, Viacom's MTV International, Canal+, MSNBC and iHeartMedia will be the broadcast partners for the event, airing a combination of live, highlights and exclusive behind-the-scenes content. The broadcast will be transmitted in over 180 countries across six continents. YouTube and Twitter will also bring the Festival to a global audience via their channels, presented by Johnson & Johnson. The collective reach of its broadcast partners will deliver the largest reach of any television broadcast of a Global Citizen event to date.
