Doyle, Hunton Join O'Hara & Pasquale for NewMusicalTheatre.com Launch Concert 4/26

Matt Doyle (Spring Awakening, Bye Bye Birdie), Emma Hunton (Spring Awakening) and Krysta Rodriguez (The Addams Family) and will join previously-announced headliners Kelli O'Hara, Steven Pasquale, De'Adre Aziza and Greg Naughton for the NewMusicalTheatre.com Launch Concert on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 10pm at NYC's (Le) Poisson Rouge. Also joining the lineup at this time are Whitney Bashor (The Fantasticks), Steven Booth (Avenue Q, Glory Days), Alex Brightman (Wicked), Curt Hansen (Hairspray), Jay Armstrong Johnson (Hair), Morgan Karr (Spring Awakening), Lindsay Mendez (Everyday Rapture, Grease), Kate Wetherhead (Legally Blonde, Ordinary Days), Natalie Weiss (Wicked), Jason "Sweettooth" Williams (Bloodsong of Love) and Betsy Wolfe (Everyday Rapture, 110 in the Shade).

The event will not only salute the website's launch, but will celebrate the future of musical theater by bringing together an unparalleled group of young songwriters with some of Broadway's best talent. Presented by Sh-K-Boom & Ghostlight Records, the show will highlight the work of the original six writers represented on the site - Nick Blaemire (Glory Days), Adam Gwon (Ordinary Days), Joe Iconis (The Black Suits, Things to Ruin), Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk (The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown, Tales from the Bad Years), Ryan Scott Oliver (Mrs. Sharp, Darling), and Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Edges, Dogfight).

The concert is being directed by David Ruttura with music direction by Matt Hinkley, and is being produced by Kurt Deutsch and Noah Cornman of Sh-K-Boom & Ghostlight Records, in association with Katie Riegel and Joey Oliva of jokr Productions and John Johnson.
