Deerhoof have shared "Last Fad", a new track taken from their forthcoming album La Isla Bonita due November 4 via Polyvinyl Records. Revealed with DIY Magazine, the audio visual clip starts with the band jamming in guitarist Ed Rodriguez' basement where the band had met for rehearsals. Drummer Greg Saunier takes up the story:

"We recorded this record by accident. Those 10 days in Ed's Portland basement were meant to be for writing and recording demos. It wasn't till the last day we put it together that the rehearsals should be the album. That's the way we always did it when the band started out as a lo-fi noise side project so we were super game to go again. And anyway Let it Be was always my favorite.

This new clip shows us trying to learn this ridiculous riff Satomi wrote on her phone. It also features an ad for a new product we're trying to market in the U.K."

2014 sees Deerhoof celebrate its 20th anniversary and their national fall tour kicks off on November 4 in NYC. They have made a dozen consistently acclaimed albums and taken hundreds, maybe thousands, of ecstatic and loyal audiences all over the planet on the never-the-same-twice thrill-ride of their live show. It also means next year they'll legally be able to drink, so who knows what they'll sound like then...
