Guitarist, singer and songwriter Dave Mason was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 2004 as a founding member of the Seminal Rock Band Traffic. In his long career, Mason has played and recorded with many of the era's most notable rock musicians, including Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, George Harrison, and Jimi Hendrix, where his distinctive guitar sound can be heard on "All Along the Watchtower." His best-known song is "Feelin' Alright," which was recorded by Traffic and later by Joe Cocker, who made it into a major hit. Mason's other hits include "We Just Disagree" and "Only You Know and I know."

Dave Mason appears in an intimate, unplugged concert as part of The Granada Theatre's Concert Series on Saturday, March 9 at 8 p.m. Tickets to Dave Mason Unplugged range from $34 to $60 and are available now at The Granada Theatre Box Office, 1214 State Street, Santa Barbara; by phone at (805) 899-2222; and online at www.granadasb.org.

Accompanying Mason at this Santa Barbara concert is guitarist and singer Jonathan McEuen, who lives in Ojai when he is not on tour or recording. Jonathan has a musical heritage: his father Nitty Gritty Dirt Band member and banjo player John McEuen.

At age 18, the Worcester England native teamed up with Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi and Chris Wood to form the legendary band Traffic, whose profound influence over rock music, and generations of fans remains unquestioned even today.

At 19, Mason penned the song "Feelin' Alright" which was first recorded by Traffic and has since become a global anthem and recorded by dozens of artists including Joe Cocker who had a major international hit with the song in 1969.

After extensive touring throughout the UK and Europe, Mason departed Traffic after their second album and headed for the USA to pursue a solo career. From there he struck international gold with his debut album "Alone Together," which is considered a seminal rock classic. It was followed by five highly successful albums (CBS/Sony), four of which received gold albums in the U.S., including Dave Mason, Mariposa De Oro, and Let It Flow, which has sold millions of copies and contained another major Mason classic, "We Just Disagree."

In addition to performing to sold-out audiences and being a permanent staple in record collections and hearts of fans around the world, Mason is known for his guitar work on a number of landmark albums such as The Rolling Stones' Beggar's Banquet, George Harrison's All Things Must Pass, Paul McCartney's Listen to What the Man Said, and Jimi Hendrix's Electric Ladyland, which features Mason on acoustic guitar on "All Along the Watchtower."

His work and career remain linked with numerous other members of rock and roll elite, including Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac, Graham Nash, Stephen Stills, Rita Coolidge, Delaney & Bonnie, Leon Russell, Ron Wood, Jim Capaldi, Mama Cass Elliot, and The Spencer Davis Group.

Dave Mason's career thrives and spans several important rock eras, and encompassed producing, performing and song writing, as well as being one of rock's most respected guitar players. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame as a founding member of Traffic, and is considered an important figure in rock music history.
