DINOSAUR PILE-UP'S Smash Single 'Peninsula' Currently No. 1 on Alt Nation Sirius XM

Dinosaur Pile-Up is taking over the U.S. rock scene with the release of their first U.S. full-length album, Nature Nurture, which is out now. After making their debut in the U.S. last year while on tour with You, Me at Six, Dinosaur Pile-Up is back with another nationwide tour, this time with Middle Class Rut and Brick + Mortar. After an album release show (put on by Chicago 101.1) at the House of Blues in Chicago, The band kicked off the tour with MCR in Portland, OR. This won't be the only time the U.S. will get the band this year though. Dinosaur Pile-Up will be playing at SXSW this March and is very excited to announce that they will be on tour with Brand New this July.

Dinosaur Pile-Up's single Peninsula, has been gaining traction at key rock and alternative radio stations and is currently No1 at Alt Nation on Sirius XM. The Unofficial Alt 18 Countdown Playlist announced DPU's single, "Peninsula" was the number one played song on Alt Nation this past week. People have been marveling at the band and Nature Nurture. Steve Huber from WIYY @98 Rock in Baltimore loves the band referring to the music as "high energy and guitar driven with alternative sensibility - the timing is right for this band!"

Dinosaur Pile-Up formed in 2007 and their debut album Growing Pains led them to much critical acclaim in the UK. They quickly became one of the hottest bands of a new generation of U.K. rock acts. Comprised of lead singer and guitarist Matt Bigland, drummer Mike Sheils, and bassist Jim Cratchley, the band has been out on the road in the U.K. in support of their first record over the past couple of years. After a long run of tours in the U.K., the band went back into the studio to record Nature Nurture and successfully toured the U.S. for the first time. In the past, they've shared the stage with bands such as The Pixies, Cage The Elephant, You Me at Six, and Fidlar.
