Counting Crows & Toad the Wet Sprocket to Play Mandalay Bay Beach, 8/10
Each summer music enthusiasts and outdoor lovers unite for the best of both worlds at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino's beach concert series. Mandalay Bay's Beach stage, which rises over the resort's sand and surf wave pool, has hosted entertainment's biggest names as part of this beloved series and will welcome Counting Crows and Toad the Wet Sprocket Sunday, Aug. 10 at 9 p.m.
Tickets priced at $47.50, not including applicable service charges, are now on sale. Counting Crows features Adam Duritz (vocals), Jim Bogios (drums), David Bryson (guitar), Charlie Gillingham (keyboards), David Immergluck (guitar), Millard Powers (bass) and Dan Vickrey (guitar). Together the group has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide after entering the music scene with its 1993 multi-platinum breakout album August and Everything After. Its most recent album, Underwater Sunshine (Or What We Did On Our Summer Vacation), was released in April 2012 featuring a collection of 15 songs in which the modern rock mainstays honor global icons and indie-pop heroes, among others.
California rock band Toad the Wet Sprocket includes lead singer Glen Phillips, guitarist Todd Nichols, bassist Dean Dinning and drummer Randy Guss. From 1989 to 1998, the group created five studio albums which combined sold more than four million copies. After successful tours from 2006 to 2010, the band decided to update their classic catalog in 2011 and create a new greatest hits album named after their greatest hit All You Want.
