Hailing from Woodbridge, Ontario, vocalist and producer Chris LaRocca announces his debut Voila EP slated for an August 23rd release. After years in Toronto's DIY scene as part of math rock/indie band Elos Arma, he dove into the production world, utilizing a combination of synths and drum machines - no computer. A self-taught musician gifted with a soaring natural falsetto, Voila firmly roots LaRocca as an ambitious, unpretentious, and accessible solo artist.

Today, he shares new single "Wild" with NYLON, highlighted by ambient textures, ethereal synths, and dreamy melodies. In reference to the track's inspiration, Chris comments, "Wild is about the power of infatuation; it's about the push and pull of being too involved."

Voila is a five-track collection that connects LaRocca's vision for expansive pop music with a staggering attention to detail. Written over the course of a year and brought to life with the help of co-producer Herag Sanbalian, the EP was assembled during a time when he was working 12-hour days at three separate jobs to fund the project. He self-released first single "Closer" in February 2017 which was championed by FADER and Zane Lowe. As a follow up, Chris shared the synth-savvy "Roses" in June 2017. As he prepares for the soulful, electronic-infused Voila EP on August 23rd, be sure to stay tuned for more!
