The Celtic Tenors will perform Christmas favorites and Irish tunes in Omaha on December 2. Omaha Performing Arts presents Celtic Tenors Christmas on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. in the acoustically-superior Kiewit Concert Hall of the Holland Performing Arts Center, 1200 Douglas St. This is the first performance in the 2015/16 Showcase Series. The performance is sponsored by Omaha Steaks.

General admission tickets are $20, and are available through Ticket Omaha* at 402.345.0606, TicketOmaha.com or the Ticket Omaha office inside the Holland Performing Arts Center at 13th and Douglas streets.

The Celtic Tenors is a three-man vocal group that includes Matthew Gilsenan, James Nelson and Daryl Simpson. The trio have performed Celtic, operatic and popular songs for audiences worldwide since 2000. By popular demand, The Celtic Tenors have just recorded their first holiday album, "The Celtic Tenors Christmas," available exclusively at their shows and on their website. "This collection of timeless Christmas classics from our childhood is dedicated to the Celtic Tenors' loyal supporters and fans who have requested a Christmas CD from the outset," said Nelson. "Thank you all for your unending support."

During the performance, The Celtic Tenors will create some holiday cheer by singing traditional Christmas songs, such as "O Holy Night," "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "We Three Kings." "These are the songs that over the years have filled our homes at Christmas time here in Ireland. We hope that everyone who listens to it catches a little bit of our Irish Christmas spirit," said Gilsenan.

The group was signed last summer to Decca/Universal Records and has just finished recording a new album produced by Charles Fisher, an award-winning producer of hits in Australia and overseas for decades, with 12 Australian Record Industry Association (ARIA) Awards to his

name, including a Special Achievement for his Lifetime Contribution to Australian Music. His credits include Savage Garden, The Hoodoo Gurus, Olivia Newton-John and many more.

The Celtic Tenors are currently touring the US with Celtic Woman and receiving standing ovations at every show. The Celtic Tenors' single, "Silent Night" is also featured on the holiday CD "Together For Christmas: A Contemporary Christmas Collection" on Cosmic Trigger Records, available at www.togetherforchristmas.com.
