Celtic Fiddle Festival is a trio of fiddlers and a guitarist who have been performing rousing Celtic music since 1993. Heralded as "three of the finest folk violinists anywhere" (The Washington Post), this group presents animated music that draws from French, Irish and Canadian traditions. This year they released Live in Brittany, a celebration of 20 years of memorable performances and impassioned music. Pianist Anne-Marie McDermott is a consummate artist who balances a versatile career as a soloist and collaborator. Performing more than 100 concerts annually in a combination of solo recitals, concerti, and chamber music shows, her musical style has received rave reviews internationally. McDermott's repertoire choices are eclectic, spanning from Bach and Haydn to Prokofiev and Scriabin, while also encompassing Kernis, Hartke, Tower, and Wuorinen.
