After some exciting, experimental sets at this year's SXSW, German duo Beisspony releases their video for "Hell Must Be a Radio Station" today via PureVolume. The video was shot in Austin after the festival and puts good use to the exotic Texan landscape. Laura Theis and Stephanie Müller showcase their inventive and clever sense of humor through the repetition that "hell must be a radio station playing only music that you hate" and "silence is salvation."

"Hell Must Be a Radio Station" begins with fragments of audio recordings from Laura's youth, and these bits and pieces present themselves throughout the entirety of the song. Reflecting on the track, the duo explains, "the video is a reflection of the song's peculiar genesis, visually encapsulating the spontaneity of the childlike and uninhibited creative spirit. Two loners on the road: Once Upon a Time in the West, Thelma and Louise enter Alice's rabbit hole, always in search of like-minded Log Ladies and unicorns."

Hailing from Germany, Stephanie Müller and Laura Theis combine keyboards, airy vocals, sewing machines, percussion, and more to create the unique project that is Beisspony. Translating to "the pony that bites back" in English, Laura and Stephanie bring a traditionally punk DIY ethos to the folk-sounding music, and integrate visual performance in a way that is vital to the music. "Hell is a Radio Station" is currently available on Beisspony's debut album Brush Your Teeth, and the video comes in advance of the upcoming album, Beasts & Loners, due later this year via Chicks on Speed Records.
