"'Cold Cold Love' tells the story of troubled, reckless love gone wrong, but in a relevant, new context," said Mosher. "I'm not only honored that this recording is a part of the brilliant acting between Dakota Fanning and Toni Collette in the film, but also because it supports the discussion and awareness of anyone who is on the (autism) spectrum.

"The great directing, charming writing, and powerful acting in the film provide a relatable framework that brings to light the challenges that many people face with autism. I'm friends with families that have shared their stories about their own children on the spectrum. As a mom, I know how important it is to advocate for the best educational, nurturing and loving environments possible for your child. Acceptance, understanding and love are key. I'm donating all proceeds from the single and am running a fundraising campaign on Facebook to support Geek Club Books, an autism non-profit founded by Jodi Murphy after her son Jonathan was diagnosed on the spectrum. Its mission supports inclusive, open-minded education giving those with autism a chance to shine."

"It's rare to find a film such as 'Please Stand By,' a coming-of-age story about a creative autistic female," said Jodi Murphy, CEO of Geek Club Books for autism. "Manda Mosher's song, 'Cold Cold Love,' helps us connect with the character during her toughest moment and root for her as she finds her strength and independence in a world that doesn't accept her differences."

The song marks the debut release on Blackbird Records, a joint venture between Mosher and music supervisor and record label executive Eric Craig whose credits include award-winning "Moonlight," "Drive," "Stranger Things" and "Lady Bird," among others.
