ART GARFUNKEL is back in love with being on stage, and is adding more dates to an already busy summer. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member is touring the U.S. throughout the next few months and has booked a week-long string of September dates in the U.K. The revered singer had taken time off to recover from a vocal ailment before returning to the stage this year.

"I feel like 26," Garfunkel recently told the New Haven Register before a few Connecticut shows. "I worked to get the voice back...I have been singing since I was five; it's my best friend. I'm married to singing and its problems." He adds, "The voice left me and now that it's back, I am so grateful."

Garfunkel will bring his two-man show (with guitarist Tab Laven) to venues across the country, beginning with a May 17 show in Pennsylvania (see full itinerary below). He will tour the East Coast from May into July, and will do a five-show trek through England September 5-11. His live set encompasses hissolo hits, Simon and Garfunkel songs, cuts from his favorite songwriters--Jimmy Webb, Randy Newman, A.C. Jobim--parts of his new book, and Q&A.

Meanwhile, watch Art induct his friend Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) into theRock & Roll Hall of Fame when it airs on HBO May 31. He said, in part: "I used to go to work to his tapes. We were in Vancouver in '72, Jack Nicholson and I, shooting 'Carnal Knowledge' and running lines in the back of the car with 'Lady D'Arbanville' playing. It made us feel right. All the girls I took out were Cat Stevens fans; He was a sexy guy - sensitivity with a bass voice. (I shoulda thought of that)."

Blessed with what the New York Times described as a "beautiful countertenor," singer ART GARFUNKEL has made an indelible mark on the music world as both a solo artist and half of the unrivaled Simon & Garfunkel. He has also enjoyed a successful film career, published a book of poetry and released 12 original solo albums, the most recent being SOME ENCHANTED EVENING in 2007, plus a 2-CD compendium of his full body of work THE SINGER. Since then, he has been busy as a husband and father to his two sons, 23 year-old Arthur Junior and eight-year-old Beau Daniel. He is also an avid walker who has walked across Japan, the US (celebrated in the 1997 concert DVD ACROSS AMERICA) and now Europe, bearing down on Istanbul.
