The critically acclaimed, 7 piece band, Amy Lynn & The Honey Men return with some holiday cheer. Lead singer Amy Lynn Hamlin went back into the studio with The Honey Men to put a jazzy, big band spin on the Christmas classic, "O Holy Night." When asked why they chose this particular Christmas song, lead singer Amy Lynn said "'O Holy Night' is one of our favorite holiday songs. The entire band was on board, especially after hearing Alex's arrangement." Bari-sax player Alex Hamlin added, "It was a song my family would sing every year at Christmas Eve dinner. My mom would play the piano and lead us all, which is one of the reasons why the instruments took such a central role in the track. When I was arranging, I thought it would be fun to take the listener through Christmas scenes. Scenes like snowflakes swirling all around us when the horns join the band for the first time and when the rhythm section drops out and it's just the three horns and Amy's vocals, I pictured carolers showing up to your door for a brief moment. Our goal was to make it sound classy, fanciful, and powerful and I think we pulled it off. We dig the way it turned out and hope the listener does too."

"O Holy Night" is currently available at digital retailers and you can listen here. The band has also confirmed a holiday show at Rockwood Music Hall in New York City on December 15. The show is free and starts at 9:15pm.

Amy Lynn & The Honey Men is a seven-piece machine that blows glitter all over the traditional memphis-motown soul/rock style. At the controls is Amy Lynn, a vocal powerhouse whose unique flair of quirky, down-to-earth humor countervails against the serious musicianship of The Honey Men's team of bari sax, tenor sax, trumpet, keys, bass, and drums. Both together and apart, members of The Honey Men draw on a range of experience playing for acts such as Roberta Flack, Spoon, Bette Midler, Red Baraat, St. Vincent, The National, Yo La Tengo, Loser's Lounge, Duffy, Antibalas, and the Radio City Orchestra.

"Amy Lynn's mesmerizing instrument is just as brassy as the horn section behind her, and she channels its power into an ardent belt that is masterfully controlled. - Broadway World
