The five soulful members of the internationally acclaimed world-beat band, Amapola Dry, are proud to release their self-titled album Amapola Dry. The band will be celebrating this release by performing at Drom, 85 Avenue A, New York, New York, on July 19, 2013 at 7:00pm.

"This album invites you to reignite your passions, experience our enchanting global culture, or discover a new way to interact with music" says lead vocalist Sofia Juan. "Our vision for this album was rooted in tradition but was imaginatively infused with modern sounds, beats, and rhythms to create something undeniably beautiful" says Martin Fuks, vocalist, guitarist, and live electronic engineer.

All five band members Sofia Juan, Martin Fuks, Jeremy Nesse, Anthony Fredda, and Carol Ma will be performing either with traditional instruments like a bandoneon, guitar, and a piano or with electric instruments to create their rare global sound. The rich mix of sounds combined with the haunting voices of Sophia Juan and Martin Fuks translates to a style unique to Amapola Dry.

Tickets to the CD Release Party are $10 in advance or $15 in advance with a CD. Tickets purchased at the door are $15. To buy tickets in advance, visit http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/395310.

Amapola Dry is a musical project that started in the middle of 2009, motivated by the need to translate a personal vision into music. Amapola Dry's personal and professional background gave them the opportunity to interact with several different cultures and uncover new musical styles, ultimately encouraging them to merge and mix: styles, instruments, and colors. The uniting thread in Ampola's music will forever be tango, which is revealed in the lyrics, the melodies and the instrumentation. However, Amapola Dry constantly picks up elements from pop, jazz and world music.
