2014 Northside Festival Adds Over 150 Bands to Lineup

Northside Festival, Brooklyn's largest discovery festival, announces the addition of 150+ bands to our lineup along with new film premieres, Trade Show Exhibitors and top-notch Innovation presenters.

Northside Music (June 12-15) is proud to announce additions to the lineup including: Daniel Rossen (of Grizzly Bear & Department of Eagles), Pallbearer, Marnie Stern (solo), Marissa Nadler, Klingande, BADBADNOTGOOD, Ka, White Rabbits, Frankie Cosmos, Syd Arthur, Tweens, Alvvays, Kiesza, HOLYCHILD and Heliotropes. These acts join such previously announced artists as CHVRCHES, Beirut, The War on Drugs, Thee Oh Sees, Sharon Van Etten, Talib Kweli, f Buttons, Titus Andronicus, Courtney Barnett, Dan Croll, Eagulls and Mas Ysa, with still more to come. Northside Innovation (June 12-13) is gearing up for its best year ever. Over two days at Wythe Hotel, Brooklyn Brewery, and Kinfolk, there will be talks and panels featuring: Jon Oringer, Founder of Shutterstock; Daniel Doctoroff, CEO of Bloomberg Media; Kevin Hartley, CIO of Keurig Green Mountain; Jon Steinberg, COO and President of Buzzfeed; Linda Boff, Executive Director of Global Brand Marketing at GE; Chad Dickerson, CEO of Etsy; Matt Meeker, Co-founder of BarkBox; Bre Pettis, Founder of MakerBot; Jennifer Fleiss, Founder of Rent the Runway; Phin Barnes partner at First Round Capital; and many more! Northside Film (June 16-19) has added three additional programs to their previously announced line-up - Fort Tilden (2014 Grand Jury Prize Winner, SXSW), The Selfish Giant (from Clio Barnard, director of The Arbor) presented by Shooting People UK and Our Vinyl Weighs a Ton. Tickets are now live for all films, so be sure to get them before they run out. These films join a previously announced lineup that includes the NY Premieres of If You Take This, Homemakers and The Past is a Grotesque Animal. The festival also feature a special presentation of life affirming documentary When I Walk (presented by POV), special 16mm screenings, and curated programs from IFC Midnight, Indiewire, BAMcinemafest and more. The fourth annual Northside DIY Film Competition also returns with a jury including IFP Executive Director Joana Vicente, Parker Posey, Love Is Strange director Ira Sachs, Factory 25 Founder Matthew Grady and Sun Don't Shine actor and founder of NoBudge Films, Kentucker Audley.
