Earlier today, Amy Adams was spotted giving up her first class seat to a US soldier sitting in coach. Jemele Hill, ESPN co-host, witnessed the deed and immediately tweeted: "Just saw actress Amy Adams do something incredibly classy. She gave her 1st class seat to an American soldier. I'm an even bigger fan now." From there, the news spread like wildfire.

Adams, whose father was in the military, told Inside Edition, "I didn't do it for attention for myself, I did it for attention for the troops."

Ernest Owens, sat beside Adams in coach, told reporters, "It was a random act of kindness. She said it was something she always wanted to do and she just decided that she was going to put her money where her mouth was, basically."
