A new trailer has been revealed for Roadside Attractions's upcoming film EMPEROR. The film, directed by Peter Webber, stars Tommy Lee Jones, Matthew Fox and Eriko Hatsune. It will be released in theaters on March 8. Get a first look below!

EMPEROR, based on real life events, is described as "a gripping tale of love and honor forged between fierce enemies of war." It takes place during the American occupation of Japan just after Emperor Hirohito's World War II surrender.

As General Douglas MacArthur (Jones) suddenly finds himself the ruler of a foreign nation. He takes on an expert in Japanese culture - General Bonner Fellers (Fox), to secretly investigate the looming question hanging over the country: should the Japanese Emperor, worshiped by his people but accused of war crimes, be punished or saved?
