MULATTO'S DILEMMA's Juliette Fairley Wins Award at 2013 New York International Film Festival in LA

Filmmaker Juliette Fairley's film Mulatto's Dilemma was awarded Best Romantic Comedy at the 2013 New York International Film Festival at Raleigh Studios in Los Angeles yesterday while her film screened back east at the New Jersey Film Festival at Rutgers University. The award-winning film stars Miss Fairley, Hassan Goding, Nikki Jamitz James and Cassidy Knight.

"It's an honor to be recognized for my acting and directing work," said Fairley who is in pre-production on her fourth film Diary of a Mulatto. Fairley's body of work has been endorsed by the likes of Malcolm X's Daughter Ilyasah Shabazz, Cosby Kid Jasmine Guy and Law & Order Actor Richard Brooks. "Being bi-racial is a timely topic in America right now," says Fairley whose mother white and father African American. "Interracial relationships have been increasing exponentially since 2010."
