MTV MOVIE AWARDS Takeover to Unleash Exclusive Summer Movie Footage

MTVtoday announced it will unleash complete movie mayhem in the five-day lead-up to the "2014 MTV Movie Awards" with its first-ever "MTV Movie Awards Takeover," presented by Chevrolet. Beginning Monday, April 7 through Friday, April 11, the channel will feature full-day, on-air takeovers by some of Hollywood's biggest stars, including Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Pratt, Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, Dwayne Johnson, Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Rose Byrne, Dave Franco, Drew Barrymore, Adam Sandler and more, and culminate each night with an exclusive sneak peek at an upcoming summer blockbuster film at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT*.

Over the course of the week, the casts of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy, 22 Jump Street, Hercules, Neighbors and Blended will dish with MTV's Josh Horowitz on must-see moments from their upcoming films, look back at favorite past "Movie Awards" moments and handicap the race for this year's Golden Popcorn in short-form segments airing around MTV's programming. Hosted by comedian and late night host Conan O'Brien, the "2014 MTV Movie Awards" will air LIVE on Sunday, April 13 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Monday, April 7th
Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy (Marvel Studios)
Appearances by Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie and Chris Pratt

Captain America Film Summary:
After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel's Captain America: The Winter Soldier finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off assailants sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy-the Winter Soldier.

Guardians of the Galaxy Film Summary:
An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits-Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand-with the galaxy's fate in the balance.

22 Jump Street Film Summary:
After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don't have to just crack the case - they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them.

Blended Film Summary:
After a disastrous blind date, single parents Lauren and Jim agree on only one thing: they never want to see each other again. But when they each sign up separately for a fabulous family vacation with their kids, they are all stuck sharing a suite at a luxurious African safari resort for a week in this romantic comedy that reunites Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore on screen for the third time.
