Deadline reports that Laura Dern has signed on for Ramin Bahrani's 99 HOMES. She will star opposite Andrew Garfield and Michael Shannon.

The story, penned by Bahrani, sees Garfield portraying Dennis Nash, who loses his home to foreclosure and is forced to take a job with the sly real estate broker, (Shannon) who took his home away. The broker "entices him into schemes to embezzle money from the government."

Dern is set to play Lynn Nash, Dennis's widowed mother and grandmother to Dennis's 9-year-old son Connor.

Dern's upcoming projects include Mothers Day, Strings, The Fault in Our Stars, When the Game Stands Tall and Wild. She last appeared in the TV series Enlightened and has also starred on the big screen in The Master, Little Fockers, October Sky and Jurassic Park.

99 HOMES is currently filming in New Orleans.
