Martin Freeman is one of the international stars set to appear at the 2015 Giffoni Experience. The British actor will meet the young jurors and receive a Giffoni Experience Award on July 19. This year marks the 45th edition of the Children and Youth film festival, which will run July 17 - 26 in Giffoni Valle Piana.

Freeman stars as Bilbo Baggins in the highly praised Hobbit trilogy, which includes the films The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Among his many accolades, Freeman won an Emmy Award (2014) and a BAFTA Award (2010) for his work in Sherlock. He has also been nominated for Emmy and Golden Globe Awards for his performance in the television series Fargo.

Freeman will return to the big screen in 2016 with Fun House, a black comedy helmed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, which also stars Tina Fey, Margot Robbie, and Billy Bob Thornton. The film is based on Kim Barker's book The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan, which chronicles the reporter's experiences in Afghanistan and Pakistan during the events of 2002.

The actor has also been cast in the third Captain America: Civil War as recently revealed by Marvel Studios. The film picks up the story from the end of Age of Ultron, whose superheroes will be forced to side with Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) or Captain America as the two battle it out.
