GHOSTBUSTERS II Jumpsuit Worn by Harold Ramis to be Auctioned Off

A jumpsuit worn by the late Harold Ramis, in his role as Dr. Egon Spengler in GHOSTBUSTERS II, will be auctioned by Nate D. Sanders Auctions on December 16. Interested bidders may participate in the auction online.

Ramis, who was considered one of the greatest comedic directors of all-time died earlier this year. A Chicago native, Ramis was best known for directing Groundhog Day and Caddyshack. He was also a screenwriter and director and wrote the script for the GHOSTBUSTERS series, in which he played Dr. Egon Spengler.

Ramis wore the off-white, zip-front jumpsuit in the wildly popular 1989 movie sequel. The coverall jumpsuit has a "Spengler" embroidered patch on the chest and a Ghostbuster II patch on the right shoulder.

The jumpsuit was originally acquired from producer Michael C. Gross, who also designed the Ghostbuster logo. Bidding for the jumpsuit begins at $20,000.
