First Production Photos Of AMERICAN PSYCHO: THE MUSICAL
A preliminary sneak peek at the premiere production of Tony Award-winning SPRING AWAKENING composer Duncan Sheik's new take on Bret Easton Ellis's notable late-20th century novel AMERICAN PSYCHO is now available to view.
Depicting the fast-paced, cutthroat world of 1980s Wall Street, the new musical stars DOCTOR WHO player Matt Smith in the lead role of Patrick Bateman, a serial killer, and the new shots of the production give us a hint of the sterile, stylish and scary surroundings conjured up director Rupert Goold and company.
The official description of AMERICAN PSYCHO is as follows: "Living the high life in 1980s Manhattan, Patrick Bateman has it all - looks, money, style and status. He and his entourage buy the most expensive designer clothes, eat at the most exclusive restaurants and party at the hottest clubs. But privately, Patrick indulges in another kind of transgression. And people - including those closest to him - keep disappearing."
