Elizabeth Banks to Join Paul Giamatti, John Cusack in Beach Boys Film LOVE & MERCY

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Elizabeth Banks has signed on for the upcoming Beach Boys film LOVE & MERCY, written by Oren Moverman and directed by Bill Pohlad.

The biopic follows the life of Beach Boys leader Brian Wilson and his struggles with mental illness. Banks will play Melinda, Brian's wife.

Banks will join previously cast John Cusack, Paul Dano and Paul Giamatti. LOVE & MERCY is set to begin filming in August.

Banks has also joined Boyd Holbrook in the idie pic LITTLE ACCIDENTS, written and directed by Sara Colangelo.

She will next be seen in the second installment of The Hunger Games franchise, Catching Fire, as well as Every Secret Thing, The Lego Movie, Frank or Francis, What's the Matter with Margie? and The Big Shoe.

Past film credits include: Pitch Perfect, People Like Us, What to Expect When You're Expecting, Role Models, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Definitely, Maybe, and the TV series Scrubs and 30 Rock. Banks also took part in 2007's 24 Hour Plays benefit production on Broadway.
