Falling Anvil Productions and Screen Media have announced that LGBT festival hit First Period is now available on digital platforms, and coming to DVD today, April 21st. A drag comedy with the mind of John Hughes and the heart of John Waters, First Period has been acclaimed by critics and audiences since its premiere on the festival circuit.

Charlie Vaughn's First Period stars Brandon Alexander III and Dudley Beene as a pair of hapless TEENAGE girls who just want to be popular. The supporting cast includes Cassandra Peterson (Elvira: Mistress of the Dark) as Cassie's mysterious mother, Jack Plotnick (Space Station 76), Rebekah Kochan (The Eating Out series), Michael Turchin ("Lance Loves Michael") as a hunky HIGH SCHOOL heartthrob, Judy Tenuta (Going Down in La-La Land) and Diane SALINGER ("Salem").

New girl Cassie and school OUTCAST Maggie are easily the most unpopular girls at their high school. Together, they decide the way to win the hearts of cute boys and popular girls is to enter--and win--the annual talent show. But popular rivals Heather, Other Heather, and their hot boyfriends Dirk and Brett will stop at nothing to keep Cassie and Maggie the laughing stock of the school. It's going to take courage, a make over, and maybe even a rap battle to beat them in true 80s style.
