According to Deadline, Craig Viveiros has officially signed on to direct the film adaptation of Greg Rucka's comic series QUEEN & COUNTRY for Chernin Entertainment.

The comic series is officially billed as "an espionage drama, and ongoing series, set in the fictional British Secret Intelligence Service, focusing on a squad of three Special Operations Officers, codenamed "Minders", and in particular, focusing on the life of Minder Two (later to become Minder One), a woman named Tara Chace." The issue titled OPERATION BROKEN GROUND won the 2002 Eisner Award for Best New Series.

"I'm thrilled to be working with Fox and Ellen in the task of bringing Tara Chace and 'Queen & Country' to life on the big screen," Viveiros said in a statement released this afternoon. "The echoes of excitement in creating an exciting, unique bold addition the spy genre are held firm by Greg's solid, riveting source material."

Page is perhaps best known for playing a pregnant teen in JUNO, as well as her role in INCEPTION. She has also starred in the indie drama/thriller HARD CANDY, X-MEN: THE LAST STAND, and TOUCHY FEELY, which just premiered at Sundance. Page is also set to reprise her role as 'Kitty Pryde' in Bryan Singer's X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST.

Viveiros is primarily known for directing commercials, though he made his feature film directorial debut in 2011 with GHOSTED, which starred Art Malik, John Lynch and Martin Compston. In 2012, he helmed THE LIABILITY with Tim Roth, Jack O'Connell, and Peter Mullan.
