Clevver Named First Digital Partner for Critics' Choice Movie Awards; Powers Audience Vote for 'Hottest Star of the Year'

Defy Media-owned Clevver, the #1 digital entertainment news brand, today announced a two-year agreement with the Critics' Choice Movie Awards ("CCMA") to become the first digital media partner for the 2014 and 2015 CCMAs. Presented by the Broadcast Film Critics Association and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association, the 19th Annual CCMAs are scheduled to air on the CW Television Network on January 16, 2014. The partnership expands the reach of the long-standing and influential awards show by tapping into Clevver's multi-platform network and significant online audience of young entertainment enthusiasts.

As the CCMAs digital partner, Clevver will power the audience vote for the Hottest Star of the Year award, which will be presented during the live CCMA broadcast. Fans can cast their vote at www.Clevver.com/Vote from today through January 15, 2014. Clevver will promote its participation and the voting component leading up to the awards show across its multiple entertainment news brands, including ClevverTV, Clevver Movies, Clevver Music, Clevver News, Clevver Style, and Spanish-language Clevver TeVe, which collectively reach in excess of 22 million unique viewers monthly and count over 2.6 million social media followers.

Clevver will have premier placement on the CCMA red carpet and will participate in the two-hour live pre-show, delivering up-to-the-minute videos, photos and social media updates across its network. Clevver will be featured during the CCMA broadcast and will have exclusive backstage presence, where correspondents will gain unique access to the award winners in the "Clevver Lounge." Clevver will continue its coverage post-show with award show recaps, stand-out moments and fashion breakdowns.

"We're thrilled to forge a partnership with the Critics' Choice Movie Awards for this prestigious event and to be recognized for our powerful connection to an important -- and entertainment-obsessed -- audience of young people," commented Michael Palmer, Defy Media SVP and Executive Producer of Clevver. "We look forward to leveraging Clevver's extensive digital footprint to build excitement for the CCMAs and bring our fans even closer to their favorite celebrities in real time."

Clevver will also promote the CCMAs content on its new dedicated awards-season program, Trophy Life; launching in January. Trophy Life will take viewers on a two-month ride through Hollywood awards season, with real-time event coverage, pop-culture and fashion commentary, and panel conversations covering the latest celebrity news.
