Chris Pine Signs on for Border Patrol Thriller THE LINE

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Pine (Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit) will star in THE LINE, a thriller directed by David Gordon Green from a script by Sang Kyu Kim (The Walking Dead).

THE LINE follows a patrol agent, played by Pine, who not only loses his wife and son but must also suddenly face the task of taking care of "a 10-year-old child who is orphaned after a shootout with a criminal cartel." He goes on the run and finds himself at odds with both sides of the border.

Green has directed several episodes of the TV series Eastbound & Down, as well as the films Joe, Your Highness, Pineapple Express and more.

Pine's upcoming big screen projects include Stretch, Horrible Bosses 2, Into the Woods and Mantivities. He recently appeared in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit and Star Trek Into Darkness.
