American Lyric Theater presents the second public libretto reading for the 2012-2013 season as part of its popular series, The Living Libretto, at the National Opera Center on January 21, 2013. Featuring guest actors from the Broadway and off-Broadway stage, each event is the culminating reading of extensive libretto workshops conducted for new operas currently being written by ALT Resident Artists.

The reading of The Turing Project (Working Title) by librettist David Simpatico and composer Justine F. Chen will be directed by James Glossman, and will feature Anthony Blaha, Linda Setzer, Jesse Turits, Jennifer Dorr White, Joseph Langham, Michael Alfieri, Adam La Faci, Prentiss Benjamin, Emily Daly, Paul Murphy, Brendan Byrnes and Brendan Burke. Following the reading, there will be an open discussion with the artists moderated by ALT's Producing Artistic Director, Lawrence Edelson. A wine and cheese reception with Mr. Simpatico, Ms. Chen, and the featured actors will precede the event.
