Last night, at the 32nd Turin Film Festival, British actor Eddie Redmayne was awarded the exclusive 'Maserati Award'. The House of the Trident chose to award a young talent with the commemorative statue of the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna, the precious monument which inspired Mario Maserati to create the famous logo in the form of a trident, which one hundred years later continues to be the distinctive symbol of the company.

Representing the House of the Trident, Luca Dal Monte, Director of External Relations and Press at Maserati, presented Eddie Redmayne with the 'Maserati Award' for Best Breakthrough Actor. The young actor was chosen for his performance in the film "The Theory of Everything", in which he demonstrated extraordinary versatility.

After the much anticipated prize-giving, the film, which sees Redmayne in the role of a young Stephen Hawking, was screened in an exclusive preview.

In the year that sees Maserati celebrate the centenary of its history, the automotive company is in rapid expansion. Present in more than 60 markets worldwide, Maserati confirms its role as international ambassador of excellence and in virtue of this is particularly pleased to award an actor whose exceptional talent has been recognised by Hollywood who awarded him the title of 'Hollywood Breakout Performance Actor'.

As per the duration of the festival, throughout the evening, the Trident Marque as Main Sponsor of the Turin Film Festival offered national and international stars present the exclusive courtesy car service. Eddie Redmayne and the film producer Eric Fellner also travelled in style in a luxurious Quattroporte, flagship of Maserati, whose maximum performance is represented in the GTS version, equipped with the powerful V8 Twin Turbo 3.8 litre petrol engine with 530hp made by Ferrari exclusively for Maserati.
