ESPN Announces Game Selection for Sept 11 Edition of SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL

ESPN announced today its game selection for the Sept.11, 2016 edition of SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL presented by Taco Bell: the Chicago Cubs, owners of baseball's best record, led by NL MVP candidates Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant, will visit the Houston Astros and MLB batting average leader and AL MVP candidate Jose Altuve at 8 p.m. ET from Minute Maid Park.

Sunday Night Baseball presented by Taco Bell airs each week at 8 p.m. on ESPN, ESPN Deportes, ESPN Radio, ESPN DEPORTES Radio and WatchESPN. THE VOICE of Sunday Night Baseball, Dan Shulman, will provide commentary for the telecast alongside analysts Aaron Boone and Jessica Mendoza and reporter Buster Olney.

Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown presented by Chevrolet will precede the game at 7 p.m. with host Karl Ravech, analyst Dallas Braden and insider Tim Kurkjian.

This game selection marks the fifth appearance this season on SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL for the Cubs and the second appearance for the Astros.

On deck:

The Boston Red Sox and David Ortiz will host the Kansas City Royals and Eric Hosmer at historic Fenway Park on SUNDAY NIGHT BASEBALL presented by Taco Bell, Aug. 28, at 8 p.m.

ESPN today also announced three additional game selections in September:

  • Sept. 7: On Wednesday Night Baseball, the Seattle Mariners will host the Texas Rangers at 10 p.m. in a full national telecast on ESPN and WatchESPN.
  • Sept. 14: In a Wednesday Night Baseball doubleheader, the Boston Red Sox will host the Baltimore Orioles in a full national telecast at 7 p.m., followed by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim hosting the Seattle Mariners in a full national telecast at 10 p.m. Both games will air on ESPN and WatchESPN.
