I have never held back when it comes to my fashion love for Olivia Palermo. The girl is amazing when it comes to style and I especially love the bold way she combines print, color and patterns. Her ensemble at the Temperley show at London Fashion week this year remains one of my favorites of 2013 because her outfit is totally high fashion in an effortlessly chic way. And her look is like, "Oh, I just sort of threw this on." Yeah, right.

When asked about her outfit, Palermo told Elle magazine, "My skirt is from one of my picks on Piperlime, my shoes are Manolo Blahnik, my belt is BCBG, and my top is Tibi....I always mix prints. I kind of feel creative when I do it. [My advice would be to] add a bit of color in what you're wearing. I think it lightens up your mood."
Palermo not only has the ability to successfully mix prints but she puts choses from a wide range of designers then assembles them in an unexpected way. She is a great example of high/low dressing and often will mix super high fashion designers like Manolo Blahnik with more accessible brands like BCBG. Another lesson to take from Palermo is how she mixes prints. Here she has black and white as her foundation but added pops of red and citrine. Everything flows together and the patterns never compete. I will always take a page from her book when putting together an ensemble!
