Things took a serious turn on last night's JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE as host Jimmy Kimmel discussed a recent incident involving Cecil the Lion, a popular ANIMAL at a Zimbabwean national park who was tagged by GPS for scientific research being done by Oxford University.

Kimmel became emotional as he shared the story of Walter Palmer, a hunting enthusiast who paid $55,000 to hunt, track and kill a lion, which turned out to be Cecil. Watch the clip below
