Spring 2017 has Arrived at the New Theatre with an eclectic mix of shows guaranteed to delight and entertain audiences. >From blockbuster musicals to special one-off performances, from classic drama to family favourites, this is an unmissable programme of theatre.

Join The Witch and her cat in Room on the Broom from Thursday 19 - Sunday 22 January, in this magical, musical, Olivier-nominated adaptation of the classic picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. There will be plenty of songs, laughs and scary fun for children aged 3 and up and their grown-ups!

Performing his recently released soundtrack to the Dylan Thomas film Set Fire to the Stars, Gruff Rhys will play a special one-night-only concert on Saturday 28 January. Ticketholders can expect a most memorable musical happening, and are also invited to a free screening of the film beforehand. Strictly 15+.

John Partridge (EastEnders), Adrian Zmed (T.J. Hooker) and Marti Webb (Tell Me on a Sunday) are the leads in award-winning musical La Cage Aux Folles. The show comes to the New from Tuesday 31 January - Saturday 4 February, and features show-stopping hits like The Best of Times, Song on the Sand and I Am What I Am.

Thrilling courtroom drama The Verdict plays in Cardiff from Tuesday 7 - Saturday 11 February. Based on the powerful international best-seller that also inspired a multi Academy Award-nominated film, this stage adaptation stars Clive Mantle (Game of Thrones, The Vicar of Dibley) and Jack Shepherd (Wycliffe).

Inspired by the smash hit multi-million selling albums of the same name, Dreamboats and Petticoats returns to Cardiff on Monday 13 - Saturday 18 February. The West End sell-out sensation features some of the greatest hit songs of the Rock 'n' Roll era, with classic tracks from Roy Orbison, Eddie Cochran, Billy Fury and many more.

A tale of greed, pride and the power of friendship, Fantastic Mr Fox is family fun at its finest. This flagship production for the Roald Dahl 100 celebration sneaks into the New from Tuesday 21 - Saturday 25 February, promising a huge theatrical feast with live music and songs, ideal for the whole family at half term.

Ray Quinn (X Factor), Roxanne Pallett (Emmerdale) and Ruth Madoc (Hi-De-Hi!) lead an all-star cast in The Wedding Singer. The party of the year takes place from Monday 27 February - Saturday 4 March, packed with songs which capture all the fun and energy of the Adam Sandler smash hit film.

Wales' favourite female impersonator returns to Cardiff in The Faaaabulous Ceri Dupree Show, a special One Man, Twenty-One Woman show on Saturday 11 March. Impersonating the likes of Adele, Cher and Lady Gaga, Ceri will present a glamorous evening of hysterical comedy and jaw-dropping costumes.

Highly acclaimed stage and television actress Kara Tointon is joined by Keith Allen and Rupert Young in Gaslight, one of the greatest thrillers of all time. This genre-defining, sensationally suspenseful, all-round elegant masterpiece comes to the New from Tuesday 14 - Saturday 18 March.

After a record-breaking run in 2014, Evita is set to thrill audiences in Cardiff once again on Monday 20 - Saturday 25 March. Emma Hatton (Wicked) will play Eva Peron in a spectacular show that features some of the most famous songs in musical theatre, including Don't Cry For Me Argentina, On This Night a Thousand Stars and Another Suitcase in Another Hall.

Have the time of your life with Dirty Dancing, the ultimate live experience, on Monday 27 March - Saturday 1 April. Full of passion and romance, heart-pounding music and sensationally sexy dancing, the classic story of Baby and Johnny is even better than before in this record-breaking new production.

Andrew Lancel (Coronation Street, The Bill) leads a star-studded cast in A Judgement in Stone, appearing at the New from Tuesday 4 - Saturday 8 April. Ruth Rendell's brilliant plot involves murder, deceit and despair, and is undoubtedly the Queen of Psychological Crime at her thrilling best.

Don't miss The Play That Goes Wrong from Tuesday 11 - Saturday 15 April, where everything that can go wrong...does! Endorsed by the likes of Joanna Lumley and Peter Kay, this multi award-winning West End comedy about the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society is guaranteed to leave you aching with laughter!

Flipping through the years like a musical magazine, Shout! will take you back to the music, fashion and freedom of the sixties from Tuesday 18 - Saturday 22 April. Tracking five groovy gals as they come of age in those liberating days, the show features terrific new arrangements of chart-topping hits such as To Sir With Love, Son of a Preacher Man and Goldfinger.

Let Northern Ballet lead you into temptation with original ballet Casanova. At the New from Tuesday 25 - Saturday 29 April, this is a story so sensational you won't believe it's real. This spine-tingling spectacle of 18th Century decadence will flood your senses and take your breath away. Suggested age: 12+.

Northern Ballet will also be presenting Goldilocks & the Three Bears, a special ballet performance for children. This brand new re-telling of the classic children's tale is the perfect opportunity for your little ones to enjoy live ballet, music and theatre for the first time. This child-friendly performance lasts approximately 40 minutes.

Inspired by the famous recording session that brought together Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins, worldwide smash-hit musical Million Dollar Quartet comes to Cardiff! The true story of one unforgettable night in rock 'n' roll history will play out from Tuesday 2 - Saturday 6 May, featuring Jason Donovan as manager Sam Phillips.

Shaun Williamson (EastEnders), Sue Holderness (Only Fools and Horses) and Andrew Hall (Coronation Street) are part of the stellar company bringing Out Of Order to Cardiff on Tuesday 16 - Saturday 20 May. Ray Cooney's Olivier award-winning farce will have you howling with laughter.

Bringing together music and movement through a strong and ever-present cast, a bold new production of Arthur Miller's The Crucible plays in Cardiff from Tuesday 23 - Saturday 27 May. Starring Charlie Condou (Coronation Street) and Victoria Yates (Call the Midwife), this landmark play about witchcraft and small-town paranoia stands as both a historical record and a political parable of our times.

Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hip hop Hippo and those hilarious penguins this half term in Madagascar - A Musical Adventure. Brought to you by Orbit Theatre, Wales' no.1 amateur theatre company, from Wednesday 31 May - Sunday 4 June, the show will leave you with no choice but to "Move It, Move It!"

The gripping stage adaptation of Susan Hill's The Woman in Black is back on the road and returns to Cardiff on Tuesday 6 - Saturday 10 June. Join the seven million theatregoers worldwide who have experienced this brilliantly successful study in atmosphere, illusion and controlled horror.

Not Dead Enough is the thrilling new stage play from Peter James, part of his award-winning Roy Grace novel series and the third play in his critically acclaimed stage franchise. Playing at the New from Tuesday 13 - Saturday 17 June, the show stars Bill Ward (Emmerdale), Laura Whitmore (Strictly Come Dancing) and Stephen Billington (Hollyoaks).

Unforgettable characters from the landmark novel and Oscar-winning film are brought to life in The Graduate, now a hit West End comedy. This first major revival of the play arrives in Cardiff on Tuesday 20 - Saturday 24 June and features a classic soundtrack, including unforgettable songs by The Beach Boys, Harry Nilsson and Simon and Garfunkel.

Willy Russell's heartwarming comedy Shirley Valentine, about a bored Liverpool housewife who sees herself and the world very differently during a two-week holiday to Greece, comes to the New from Tuesday 27 June - Saturday 1 July. The first major revival of this National Treasure stars Jodie Prenger in the title role.

Featuring two hours of the greatest songs ever written, Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story returns to the New Theatre on Tuesday 4 - Saturday 8 July. Songs including La Bamba, Johnny B. Goode and Peggy Sue will leave you breathless - forget feel good, this is FEEL GREAT!

From the makers of Peppa Pig comes Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom, the BAFTA award-winning television animation live on stage! Join Ben, Holly and their friends on Saturday 15 - Sunday 16 July for this magical musical adventure packed full of games, songs and laughter, a guaranteed delight for the whole family. Suggested age: 3+.

Join Mouse on a daring adventure through the deep, dark wood in a captivating adaptation of The Gruffalo, the classic picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. There will be songs, laughs and scary fun for children aged 3+ and their grown-ups in the much-loved show that's toured Britain and the world!
