TMZ reports that Harris Wittels, executive producer for NBC's PARKS AND RECREATION, died in his home today, February 19, from a possible drug overdose. He was 30.

Wittels was pronounced dead at 1 p.m. after he was found lying on the couch; his body showed no signs of trauma. Law enforcement reportedly found drug paraphernalia in his house.

The producer had gone to rehab twice for drug addiction. TMZ writes that during a stand-up gig yesterday at The Meltdown in L.A., Wittels allegedly talked about being clean and "in a good place."

Aside from PARKS AND REC (which will end next week), Wittels produced EASTBOUND AND DOWN, THE SARAH SILVERMAN PROGRAM and SECRET GIRLFRIEND.

From Emmy Award-winning executive producers Greg Daniels ("The Office," "King of the Hill") and Michael Schur ("The Office," "Brooklyn Nine-Nine"), PARKS AND RECREATION is a hilarious ensemble comedy that follows Leslie Knope (Golden Globe winner Amy Poehler) as she rises through the ranks of local and national government. The farewell season of "Parks and Recreation" premiered Jan. 13, 2015.
