Jonah Hill to Host SNL; Bastille Set as Musical Guest, 1/25
On January 18, Drake takes the SNL stage as host and musical guest. Drake was recently nominated for four 2014 Grammy Awards, and just completed his North American "Would You Like A Tour?" tour.
Jonah Hill returns for his third hosting engagement on January 25. The Oscar-nominated actor stars in the Martin Scorsese film, "The Wolf of Wall Street," currently in theaters.
U.K. band Bastille joins Hill for their SNL debut. Their single "Pompeii" topped Billboard's Alternative Songs chart for four weeks and will be featured on "All This Bad Blood," a multi-part deluxe album set for release in the U.S. on January 14.
"Saturday Night Live" is produced in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels.
Since its inception in 1975, "SNL" has launched the careers of many of the brightest comedy performers of their generation. As The New York Times noted on the occasion of the show's Emmy-winning 25th Anniversary special in 1999, "in Defiance of both time and show business convention, 'SNL' is still the most pervasive influence on the art of comedy in contemporary culture." At the close of the century, "Saturday Night Live" placed seventh on Entertainment Weekly's list of the Top 100 Entertainers of the past fifty years.
