Jim Belushi and the Chicago Board of Comedy, packed the ImprovBoston theater Saturday night with a special guest appearance.

The internationally-renowned comedian, movie star and television personality teamed up with legendary Second City improvisers to deliver a hilarious hour-long, highly interactive set filled with Italian arias, reggae and rap ballads and improvised yoga. Belushi starred on the ABC hit comedy "According to Jim," on which he also served as executive producer, music composer and director. A favorite of film, television and stage audiences, Belushi is one of the great leading character actors equally at home in drama and comedy, and a gifted performer who can also hold a room as front man of a rhythm and blues band. Accompanying Belushi onstage were Megan Grano, Larry Joe Campbell, Brad Morris, and Joshua Funk with Trey Stone on the piano, all professional improvisers who regularly tour nationwide. "We are thrilled for ImprovBoston to host a growing list of comedians with national profile in addition to our own incredible roster of local talent," says Artistic Director Mike Descoteaux.

Boston is recognized around the world for the comedy talent that comes from our city. For 30 years, ImprovBoston has been the region's leading theater and school dedicated to the art of comedy in all its forms. Consistently voted "Best of Boston" by The Phoenix, The Improper Bostonian, and The Weekly Dig, ImprovBoston performers, teachers and students have included comedians that have gone on to fame as internationally celebrated film stars, Emmy Award winning television stars, acclaimed theatrical producers, and writers for shows including The Daily Show and Real Time with Bill Maher. As a nonprofit theater, ImprovBoston serves the community through laughter.
