On Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 7:30pm, The Ware Center presents Cellist Jerome Wright and pianist Glen Sales in benefit concert. They will be performing works by Bach, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff.

Cellist Jerome Wright has performed with numerous ensembles in Washington, DC and Sao Paulo, Brazil. As Assistant Principal of the State Symphony Orchestra of Sao Paulo, Brazil, he played under the direction of Maestro Eleazar de Charvallo and later performed with the United States Army White House Strings and the Army Orchestra. More recently, he has played with the Washington Ballet Piano Trio, Washington Ballet String Quartet and accompanied members of the American Ballet Theater at the Kennedy Center. Mr. Wright studied with John Martin of the National Symphony Orchestra, George Niekrug, and Yehuda Hananni and others who have served as his mentors. Mr. Wright has also achieved success as a painter and had his works featured in an exhibit at The Ware Center earlier this year. Pianist Glen Sales has been principal pianist at the Kirov Academy and the Washington Ballet. Trained at the Julliard School, he has accompanied American Ballet Theatre, Miami City Ballet, and Suzanne Farrell's company, among others.

Mr. Sales was a child prodigy who made his debut with the National Symphony; he has also been featured in a program by PBS playing the works of Chopin.

Proceeds from this performance benefit for Music for Everyone -- a non-profit organization that aims to raise awareness and resources to strengthen the role of music in our schools – and the 2012-13 Artistic Season at the Ware Center.

Ticket Information: To encourage younger audiences, anyone under the age of 18 may attend this concert for only $1. All other tickets are $15 each. This event is open to the public.
