The 2012-2013 Concert Season was the most successful season in the history of the Golden State Pops Orchestra. Now GSPO is preparing yet another blockbuster season with Artistic Director, Steven Allen Fox, and Music Director, Victor Pesavento, creating a season full of excitement and artistry.

The Golden State Pop's 2013-2014 Season begins with the Varese Sarabande 35th Anniversary Halloween Gala on October 19, 2013. Like its predecessor on May 11 of this year, the concert will feature a gathering of film composers from the label's roster and the Golden State Pops Chorale led by Maestra Marya Basaraba. The concert will combine some of the best film music in Hollywood history with a star studded gala that could only take place in Hollywood. Guests include Christopher Young, John Debney, Marco Beltrami, Randy Edelman, Nathan Barr, Cliff Eidelman, Lee Holdridge, Joseph LoDuca, Brian Tyler and Sara Andon. Some of the films being represented are THE GHOST AND MRS. MUIR (World Premiere), DRACULA (John Williams), ALIEN, GAME OF THRONES, MIMIC, HELLBOY, THE MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR and GHOSTRIDER.

On December 21, 2013 the Varese Sarabande 35th Anniversary Holiday Gala will conclude the year-long celebration for the #1 record label in film music. GSPO's holiday spectacular featuring the Golden State Pops Chorale has become a cultural institution in Southern California for its combination of traditional holiday favorites with great holiday film music. This year they will add a little twist to the joyful occasion. Robert Townson of Varese Sarabande Records will bring to the show Bernard Herrmann's rendition of A CHRISTMAS CAROL.

GSPO will Celebrate 10 Years at the Warner Grand Theatre with their Great Composer Tribute on February 15, 2014. This annual event highlights the artistry found in film, television and video game music by focusing on the most talented composers in the industry. Past composers include Jerry Goldsmith, Alan Silvestri, Christopher Young and John Ottman. This year's edition will be announced soon.

In recognition of the upcoming 80th Anniversary of 20th Century Fox Studios GSPO will perform a concert of the studio's top film scores, as recognized by the American Film Institute. The concert will take place on March 15, 2014 and will include music from STAR WARS, TITANIC, LAURA, THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL, PLANET OF THE APES, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN and more.

SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET won multiple Emmys on Broadway and recently gained recognition by director Tim Burton on the silver screen. Keeping the momentum building GSPO will present a concert version of this Broadway horror love story on May 10, 2014. Featured stars will be announced soon.
